Context
JoinToday is a fictional project, designed to address the challenges faced by recruiters in the recruitment process. The goal was to create a platform that made job searching and candidate sourcing more efficient and user-friendly, bridging the gap between applicants and employers.
Approach
For the purposes of this case study I worked on 2 essential pages. Of course, in a real case scenario, more pages would need to get designed, and all of these pages have been taken into consideration, even though are some initial mockups.
Candidates list
A list of all candidates that applied to a job opening of the company that uses this new platform. Besides the name of the candidate, other essential information could be shown. Moreover, filtering and search functionality should be available.
Candidate’s page
This is the candidate’s page where the recruiters can find more details about him. Additionally, they can edit or add more information about a candidate, export data, comment and share his profile with other peers.
The list of candidates, the overview, and the comments section from the candidate’s page.
Process
During the design process, I concentrated on building a dashboard that provided recruiters with a comprehensive overview of their hiring activities. However, before I proceed with the designs I created some user flows, exploring some key scenarios.
1. Match existing candidates to open positions
Evaluate if any current candidates are suitable for an open job position.
2. Share ideal candidates with department managers
Forward profiles or CVs of top candidates to the department manager for consideration.
3. Match candidates to open positions and download CVs
The recruiter would like to compare the basic information of 2 or more candidates.
You can find more details regarding the user flows by interacting with the FigJam snippet below:

The final product aims to be a recruitment platform that will effectively reduce the time and effort required for recruiters to manage their hiring processes. With its user-centric design, JoinToday provides the tools they needed to streamline their workflow, from posting jobs to managing applications, ultimately leading to a more efficient and effective hiring process.
Interactive prototype
Please find below a prototype of the final designs and experiment yourself. It is strongly suggested that you use the full-screen option at the top right corner of the Figma snippet.
Note: Please use the right and left arrows within the prototype to navigate through the different screens.
