Context

Sportsbook is a fictional project, designed to demonstrate a comprehensive and intuitive betting platform. The challenge was to design a user experience that made placing bets straightforward, whether users were seasoned bettors or new to the platform.

Approach

Before I started my design work, I did a competitor analysis of companies with similar products available to the market. A thorough competitor analysis of Greek market products such as bet365.gr, stoiximan.gr, and novibet.gr provided valuable insights into current trends and user needs.

Process

Research and analysis

The project began with extensive user research and competitive analysis to understand user behaviors and industry standards. For this fictional task, I conducted surveys and interviews with frequent bettors to identify pain points and opportunities.

This research provided a foundation for understanding user needs and preferences, guiding the design direction and ensuring the final product would address common issues effectively.

Final designs

The designs focused on a clear visual hierarchy, intuitive navigation, and engaging interface elements. Special attention was given to creating a seamless experience across devices, catering to users who bet on the go. The result was a user-centered design that balanced aesthetic appeal with functionality.

Outcome

Since our audience is consisted by users of various ages, we needed a website that can easily adapt to all devices and different screen sizes by offering a seamless user experience. Additionally, most of our users are using their mobile devices so they can bet on the go. However, it was really important to support desktop or tablet users as well.

I followed a mobile first approach to make sure that my design will support all the necessary features on the small screen of a mobile device, by also allowing me to scale up easily and adapt all features as I saw necessary.

The website adapts to all viewports, offering a seamless user experience across all devices (desktop, tablet and mobile).

Interactive prototype

Please find below a prototype of the final designs and experiment yourself. It is strongly suggested that you use the full-screen option at the top right corner of the Figma snippet.

Additionally, from the left side of this Figma presentation, you can switch between desktop, tablet, and mobile views for a comprehensive understanding of the user journey.

Thank you!
